The Association staff acts as the secondary contractor during snow removal. The Association staff employs several subcontractors to serve a primary role in the event of a major snowfall.
Snow and ice are removed from the walks when the depth is two inches or greater. For snow depths below two inches, snow and ice will be removed from the walks at the termination of the storm.
The following walks are cleared at each home:
The Association supplies homeowners with calcium chloride de-icer for use on walks.
Homeowners should not use rock salt on the walks. Rock salt will damage the surface and cause flaking, pitting, etc. If a homeowner is found to have used rock salt resulting in surface damage, the concrete will be replaced and unit owner invoiced for the damage.
Driveways will be plowed when snow accumulates to a depth of two inches or more.
Snow is back-dragged away from the garage door.
The following driveways with steep hills and the main road areas will be rock-salted on an "as-needed" basis:
1000, 1002, 1004, 1052, 1054 Broadmoor (partial)
1032, 1034 Raffles (partial)
1112,1118,1154,1158 St. Andrews
1132, 1134 Calaway
1202, 1204, 1206 Round Hill (partial)
1212,1214, 1216 Round Hill
Additional rock salt will be placed when the temperatures drop below freezing.
